At least on this forum we don't need to put up with the insults of John T or Opus Ferro :)

I recognize the opus guy, he always types in "funny ways". JohnT, I'm not sure who that is, I'd probably remember once I see his posts. Couldn't be that bad....?

Are you really sure Opus is insulting? I plain can't figure out if he's insulting me, or if he was struck by lightning.

John T is so much like my mother, I sort of love him.

I asked another moderator, Zap, and he didn't know anything either.

Still down today too.

That would be embarrassing
Call tech guy after a week and just plug in and go.

This was posted on one of their sister sites. They managed to find a copy for that site, but they are still not fully operational.
HTalk was sold to Endeavor along with dozens of other forums in the mechanical industry in December. All of these sites were pushed over to the new owners host except the VB sites such as us and Welding Web. Our database was on AWS still owned by our old owner Informa. A Informa tech thought all the sites were gone so he deleted HTalk and the AWS database. That unfortunate act is what caused all this.

If they had stored there servers on a series of old I phones then they could of just given them the shake to undo the delete.

This modern age has my butt confused. If I can't see it and touch it, I'm definitely at a loss. The welding gig has me understanding only because I burn the dickens out of my fingers and drop heavy stuff on my toes ... the see it and touch it theory works that way for me... :? ...Grandson Ryan thinks it's funny ... Pappy doesn't.
