I have a Thermal Arc 186 Tin welder. For those of you that have the same or similar welder what setting do you use on the balance setting?

I don’t do enough aluminum regularly to have any settings that are my go too. I just adjust as needed to find the right balance. Hard to go tong with starting out at 50%.

waste of time starting at 50%.
typically around 70% is used. however some machines read that as 30%.
so if your tungsten goes super hot and wants to melt away, then try it the other way.
its always going to be trail and error depending on machine and how much cleaning action you require.
