Re: new here, need some advice :)

Hey Moshe I bought the Miller Syncrowave 200 a couple years ago and never regretted it. It's a smooth machine, has never needed service or repair. I may upgrade in the next couple weeks to a Dynasty 200DX. The syncrowave calls for a 60 amp circuit breaker. It will tig 1/4" AL at about 175 amps....

Re: Aluminum welding practice

Hey guys, I recently found the site and got psyched up again about some aluminum tigging. Decided to paly around a bit with Jody's practice drill. Including some pics below. Syncrowave 200, 1/8" 6061, 150 AC amps, continuous mode, 3/32 ceriated tungsten, #7 cup, on a gas lens setup, 17 cfm. 3/3...

Re: Looking to upgrade ... Advice wanted

Thanks Steve,

I helped my electrician hook up the TIG, recall installing a 60 amp breaker to code. I think I know about the breakers as well because I was trying to TIG 3/8" Aluminum. It WILL tig 1/2" steel, but the thick Al sinks too much heat.

Looking to upgrade ... Advice wanted

Getting psyched up about welding because of this site. Have a syncrowave 200 for 2 years now, would like to upgrade to a Dynasty 200 DX. Looking through the Miller site and wondering if my gas lens setups will fit on the 200DX? Anyone know if they use the same torches? Also working on a 200 amp sing...

Re: MIG - Problem with wire feeding on my Millermatic 252

Try triggering 2" of wire out of the nozzle. Then place the nozzle against a 2 x 4 at the approximate welding angle and hit the trigger. The wire should feed out. If not increase roller tension until it does.

Re: MIG - Problem with wire feeding on my Millermatic 252

Do you have the felt cleaning pad on the wire ahead of the feed rollers. Have you adjusted the roller tension by running the wire onto a 2 x 4 as in the setup video.
