The correct stuff ...

Made a quick little repair stand to hold my mountain bike, have to permantly mount the base to my work bench. I'm going to make it slide in and out to keep it out of my way, the top section will just pop out and store below. Have to add rubber to my clamps too...but it works great! Rick that is fre...

I received a two pack of this torch today to replace the Praxair ProStar rigid 20 style torch I currently have. Got to work and installed one in about 5 minutes. Right out of the package I liked the feel of the torch... It had a good weight to it and the flex was easy to bend but didn't feel flimsy....

Re: New to tig! looking for advise on bettering weld.
I noticed when I was working with the aluminum, my filler rod would melt away sometimes as I try ed to dip it in the puddle. I didn't think my torch angle was too Angled.. what else can cause this? What were your machine settings, material thickness, filler type and size? Easier to correct the prob...

I'm in gig harbor wa. I think one problem is I weld both sides of the fillet joint. I grind everything clean before I start weld the first side and I'm finding that the second side tends to thebnhave contamination problems. I live in Port Orchard and travel thru GH everyday I head into work. Let me...

Re: New to tig welding.
That's looking better IMO. Also try bringing your argon down to 15-20 scfh. Remember to breath also... when I first started TIG I would hold my breath because I was concentrating on the puddle too much.
