John Deere sprayer attachment
This will teach my neighbor to ask me to look after his place while he is on vacation. Felt bad seeing him walk around with the Wal Mart pump sprayer when he had a perfectly good Deere.

Re: installing power for my welder
Could get into a discussion about duty cycle/NEC de-rating etc. Easiest answer.....30amp double pole std. trip curve at 230V w/ #8 THWN.
And for the record...amperage has nothing to do with 1,2 or 3 pole molded case breakers. You can buy a 1.0 amp or 400 amp double pole breaker 600v

Welcome. Used to do work in Ontario frequently Red Seal myself, welder, industrial electrician and instrument tech (I don't think they honor it in Quebec, that is another Country in my opinion). Sure miss the Tim Horton's as well.

Re: Fuel tank build- thickness, material?
I have watched the biker build-off shows but they always used steel for fabbing, aluminum should be interesting. Yeah, steel doesn't really appeal to me at all. Besides, I want a natural aluminium finish. I don't imagine it will be easy and there's every chance that the first attempt will be an ugl...

Re: Ground hooked up to a neutral?
The neutral and ground is only tied together at ONE point. At your main service entrance panel. All subsequent you remove the bonding jumper. This includes branch circuits and sub-panels. You need two phases, and one ground. The only reason you would need the neutral is if you had some type of contr...

When I was younger working in the cold bundled up in Carhartt's etc. I would burn myself up every now and then, over time I came to recognize the smell of things that were not supposed to be burning. When I smell it, I stop and look.

Adjust your headgear and/or stop (or remove it and just use tension). Depends where you work, overzealous safety officer may take issue with a modified hood if you cut on it.

1x1 will look better TIG'd, I like my 130A but only use is for speed on larger stuff. Definitely spend the money on a flex end, you will thank me later.

When I had "nothing to do" when I was younger. Dad used to just roll the buckets on equipment and make me go out and hard surface the bottoms of them basically out of position. Huge pain in the rear, if you are flat easy as pie, drag, criss-cross, diamonds and write profanity with it.

Re: Problems with my Craftsman MIG welder
Yes if you are running it on a 50ft 18AWG extension cord, don't. Don't mess with the light stuff until you can get that thing to make a decent spot. You can always creep backwards to dial it down. Get a piece of 1/8 or 3/16 angle and use your DVM to set it at around 22 volts. You can use the Miller ...

Re: Stainless practice
My most common joints are round and beveled. For that light stuff a fillet isn't a challenge at all, mix/match thickness on some butt and lap welds. Your filler is fine for what you will be doing.

Re: LTEC settings?
Not sure I understand. Trying to determine the correct weld settings? Use the Miller App. Or you are saying there is no scaled display of voltage? If not just use a meter or get real fancy and install a little DVM in the case. And everyone uses the 6 second trick on wire feed, just to many variables...
