Like the other post I would check it on 220 and check the stinger and ground cables may not be connected good.also could be reversed.check that you have access rods aswell.

I keep the touch angle straight up and about a 1/4 stick out.no problems on aluminum. Mabe I'm tilting not knowing it .I haven't tig welded in a while little rusty.thanks

This is with a 3/32 tungsten and a gas lens #8.

I have unlimited certs in stick are you running stringers or weaving. On test I run stringers and all most no weaving. A northern thing is to have the amps set wright.the most important pass is the root you need to burn that in good.as the rest gets hot they will fuse.

7018 is the rod of choice do to the looks and strength of the welder. I stick welding all the time and never had any problems.
I recommend lincoln xcalaber there's a big difference in the brand of rods you use.

Filler rod
I have a 200amp tig ac/dc does great on aluminum wets nice but on the DC for steel it forms a puddle good but when I add filler it's harder to add it doesn't seem to mater the size 1/16-1/8.I've been using the e3 3/32 seems as though the tip stays at the front of the puddle no matter the position of...
