I have a Lincoln 210MP that's about 3 years old. Lately it seems like when I weld thicker stuff like 1/4" and up it seems to sputter a lot and not weld very well. I mess with turning wire speed up and down and it seems to help a little but not completely. Any ideas what might be going on?

I already have a lincoln squarewave tig 200, but I need something bigger with a water cooled torch. I may or may not ever need the 350 amps but the options are limited on used machines and new ones are so expensive.

What 350 amp ac dc transformer machine can I get new for that cheap?

I'm not sure, looks like an automotive shop. I'll definitely test it before I purchase it.

Has anyone ever used one of these machines? I'm looking at buying a used one that comes with a water cooler. Hes asking 2800.

I'll keep working on it. I've always had trouble with porosity on my 7018 welds. And haven't had a lot of luck with 6011 but I think I just need more practice.

How has everyone's experience been with stick welding with this machine? I don't stick weld much and I haven't had much success with it. How does it compare to other true stick welding machines?

It was a bad regulator! Hooked another regulator up and the gas flowed perfectly. I didn't have any time to weld but I can't wait to try it with good gas flow lol

Yeah I've been trying to hold a close arc and not use any manipulation. Maybe I need to get some new rods. They are Lincoln Electric 7018 rods. I bought them a few months ago. I bought some Lincoln Electric 6013 from the same place on the same day and they run fine. I was looking at getting a Hobart LX235, anybody run one of those?

I'm using 1/8" rod. I'm looking at maybe just getting a Hobart stickmate Lx235 and just using my powermig for steel and aluminum mig.

Anyone have any luck running 6011 on this machine? I see Jody doing it on the videos but mine will light up and catch fire and burn out after 5-7 seconds. It will run a 6013 well, and a 7018 pretty good. I'm not a great stick welder so any help is much appreciated. Thanks
