Re: Home Built TiG Cooler
Because it been moved to a large case outside I've filled it with RV antifreeze. The pink stuff cheep and from Wallymart. I have $50.00 in the cooler and $150.00 in the water cooled mig gun. I read all the post here and I can't see where I have a problem. My Miller Dynasty 200 Tig Runner I baby and ...

Re: My homemade exhaust fan
Nice build and if anyone need a drawing for 3 speed fan wiring contact me and I'll sure help you wire it up. Be sure and tell me voltage as a lot of HVAC fans are cap start and 220 volt to operate. The neat thing about them they can easily be between 800 to 1200 or more cfm if you can get the cage t...

Card board Mock-up of Pentagon Fire Pit
An ideal from one of Jody video;s. I got the basic ideal from a YouTube Video but they played it real close to the vest sharing any working information for dimensions etc. So as Fred Flintstones would say I'm slightly smarter than the average bear. :D I made the cardboard mock-up to layout the dimen...

It a real work of art. I have a chunk of Buss Bar that maybe would make nice one on the Lincoln style. Still nicely done and it look so cool.

Re: ZTFab Grinder Racks Update
Just out of Powder Coat Shop and they do look nice. Since my paint jobs look more like drip and run  It was well worth the cost. I'll hang them both tomorrow in my shop and it going to be nice to hang my grinders. Like clamps you can never have too many grinders. When the wife wants to know wha...

ZTFab Grinder Racks
Just arrived and off to be Powder Coated. They are heavy gauge steel and very nicely done. No sharp edges and ready for paint powder coating etc. He gave me a $10.00 per unit discount toward shipping. I thought that was a nice touch. I'll post picture when they finished and hanging in the shop.

Outdoor welding Table that still a work in progress
Working on a simple 26x36 welding table that will have a 26x36 plasma burning area on back side. Top still in it raw form but underbelly is now double oil base coated for rust. The shop itself is now under a major reorganization to improve room and cut down on the clutter. I'm a real hard core Pack ...

Re: building a welding station in a wood shed ?
My shop a 12x20 prefab wood building and I weld in it all the time. No real issues as long as you use common sense about fire etc. I just finish a small cement pad on the rear and a new outdoor welding table. I rather not breath the smoke if I can avoid it. I like running Duel Shield and it put out ...

Re: Q700 dry cut
ChuckE2009 on Youtube made a review about one. It limited by on the 45 degree cut in size. My only issue is you will quickly outgrow it and end up wanting to kick yourself for not buying a 14 to start with. I tend to buy larger equipment than I need and so far never regretted it.

Re: Neutral vs ground?
That was true maybe very early on as they would require a large arc force to fault but today the new types open in less than 12 cycles or 1/5 sec preventing a fatal shock. GFI are even faster as they open at 5 mill amps of current. Electrical power is very dangerous given the right conditions as fat...

Re: Neutral vs ground?
I going to try to simply this down to very easy to understand concept for laymen. You have 3 wires coming into your home. If you have a overhead service look up and you will see 2 insulated lines an a bare wire wire carrying the other two. These are 2 120 Volt AC single phase lines with a the Neutra...

Home Built TiG Cooler
I built this from a EBay find of a Barnard Tig Cooler missing a lot of parts. I used the Tank Pump and Motor Assembly and the cooling unit is off a old R12 refrigeration walk in box that feed a water cooled Barnard Mig gun and I run Duel Shield Spray Arc it works like a dream. I send the water from ...

Need advice on flume extraction.
I came by a wall mounted 3/4 HP Dayton Flume system with a snorkel arm and it pulls about 80% of the smoke out. I just came by a 1 HP Lincoln Mobiflex® 100-NF that I'm thinking of using under my table to pull smoke away too. I like to weld outside when ever I can. All ideals welcome.

Re: Looking into a water cooler
I made one for my water cooled MiG Gun from a old Barnard Tig water cooler that I brought on Ebay and from parts of a refrigeration unit and it works fine. Would give Frankenstein a run for his money. Depends on one budget.
