Re: Oxy-Acetylene welding a trailer

I did a welding course (all disciplines) about 18 months ago and it became obvious pretty quickly that the instructor had a deep love of OA and only really a passing interest in anything else. Re: Oxy-Acetylene welding a trailer

i would say do some test welds and bent and shock test them, do a little reserch too.. i cant say for certian if this is true or not but testing out some test welds would be a good way to find out how well you can weld and how strong the welds can be made..

Re: Underpowered 120 volt stick/lift tig machine.

that realy sucks on the welder coming like that. i guess i got lucky with my AHP 160.. i will have to add one thing though.. if one has a good welder AHP, everlast miller ect ect.. i think they tend to be able to do more with that 15 amps then the smaller toasters.. im not sure if its due to the fac...

i too had the same results with 6011 rods on my 80 amps welder.. i think it might be how they make them vs the lincoln rods..

Re: Recommended Mig Welder

Trying to decide on a good entry level Mig welder. Primary purpose will be for tack welding brackets etc in place for an expedition vehicle build I am going to be starting. All of the final welds will be done with my Tig Welder. That said at most the thickness of material used would be 1/4" ma...
