It can take a while to get a concistant root with 6010. So don't get discouraged. But if your running 1/8 inch 7018 then those amps look a little low. Try running about 10 amps more. Turning it up by about 3-5 amps at a time to find what you are comfortable running at. Some people will run even up ...

3G open rooth fail
Hi Im taking welding classes. I'm from south Texas. while taking my 3G Open Root bend Test, It fail. the cupons broke both on the root side and the cap side It was a long crack parallen to the groove ( sorry forgot to take pictures) acoording to my teacher was lack of fusion I have not have too much...

AC Electrodes On DC welder
Hi Guys I'm about to buy a inverter machine DC only (Everlast 160) and I wonder if I can run Ac electrodes with it, If a problem, What are those? or is a DC electrodes only?
I'm a jobiest and small work that this machine can handle.
