Re: Pistol sight pusher

I hate the way Glocks shoot, I hate the way the trigger feels. The Springfield XDM has one of the best out of the box triggers of any handgun I've personally shot. Glock vs everything else is going to be a debate that never dies. Ever. My best advice: find a gun store that has a range that allows y...

Re: Pistol sight pusher

I have a Springfield XDM 9 3.8 compact that I love! I'm probably going to get a Sig P320 next though Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk I like 9mm for the price and availability of ammo, but .380 and .40 are also options I consider. Any pro's/cons of these? Then there are the wheel guns and .357 and...

Re: Pistol sight pusher

If a 1911 closes hard enough rechambering a round, or if you let the slide fly from wide open, it can 'trick' the firearm into firing by jarring hard enough to simulate a trigger pull if being held with the grip safety depressed. Typically, only after the main spring is worn out by firing a few tho...

This is a video of me welding something at work. It has a slight gap on the sides. All I do is add more rod, move quickly to the next spot and add more rod before the keyhole wicks open to much. https://youtu.be/-KYIIoIeXFI Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk Very nice. Great piece of work. Nothing better than to see a need for a new tool for a specific purpose and to be able to build it yourself with the end result being a task accomplished! :D Woodpecker, I reach in my bag of failures and successes everytime I start a new project, nothing is lost if I fail, noth...

Nice build. Late advice but you should have waited little longer to paint. New ideas of nice-to-have-features always pops up. I made my last cart about 4 years ago, last mod this week... I know what you mean. I added some hooks for hanging stuff after painting my cart so I just drilled a ...

Nope stay away from the alcoholic beverages. And as to where I'm from, that would be Beloit area. We are also referred to as Betroit. We are probably more ghetto than the south side of Chicago. Luckily I don't live in the city and am of the more rural area. I was born and raised in the Milwaukee su...

Re: Butt welding thin wall steel tubing

You may need to use a copper spoon to light up on. Some machines have a pretty harsh arc on initial light up. Or light up off to the side and walk the arc over. You could also make a coupling/ sleeve out of pipe just a bit larger. Then weld that over top of the joint. So that it's a fillet weld ins...

Lots of steel in that cart and it turned out very nice. Good job. :D Very well thought out with rooms for all your accessories and a nice filler holder with removable closure.
