Re: Swivel Head Torch HTP 221 Question

I tighten up the button itself as much as I can with the swivel head about 15-20° away from where it needs to be. Then I hold the button, and tighten the swivel head just a smidge more and it ends up landing "in place'. For me, this ends up giving the swivel head sufficient "tightness&quo...

Re: Swivel Head Torch HTP 221 Question

Oscar (or anyone with this CK torch), I just received my Swivel Head Torch for my HTP 221 and was wondering how tight the little round clamp for the swivel head needs to be? I twisted the swivel head and then tightened the clamp and twisted the swivel head and it feels the same and easy to swivel s...

That looks like some pretty big filler rod. What size is it? Also, sharpen your tungsten to a fine point to focus the arc and maintain a close arc too.

Re: Review for TIG Button hand amptrol for HTP Invertig 221

Interesting. So is that a flexible rubber membrane of sorts, with the button underneath it? or is that the actual button? Does it flex? Feels hard to me. That's why I thought it was a plastic cover. It could be rubber I guess but once I connect it to my welder I will get a better feel for how it wo...

I wouldn't call it a weak spot---I just happen to be dragging something and it caught onto it, and it got yanked out, totally my fault. I keep my filler clean and like Olivero, once out of the tube/box, never back in. ;) That said, some days you feel and weld like an expert, and other days, things do not want to cooperate. Usually the days that don't go as well have some good reason for that. Like fogged up hood or cheater, or can't...
