Re: what machine to buy?

If theres a better TIG machine than a Dynasty, I'll kiss your butt on Pennsylvania Ave and give you an hour to draw a crowd. Mine has been running since 2005 without so much as a hiccup. LOL. That's great, I'm looking forward to getting the new machine. We should get it next week. I love new toys, C...

what machine to buy?

Hi all. My shop is getting certified for aluminum. And the boss finally is going to buy a new machine. Which one to get, dynasty 400 or a syncrowave 350. Now we have a squarewave 250( and its 15-20yrs old). I'm thinking the dynasty 400, the cwb inspector recommended the dynasty.

Re: Tig welding Aluminum fillet

Balance I'm guessing about70%. my machine only has a cleaning/penetration adjustment1-10. gas flow 15-20 cup size 6-8 depending on space. stick out is not much and yes blueshield 2 is He/Ar mix. And the tungsten are green grounded. Syncrowave 250? What number did you turn the cleaning/penetration d...

Re: Tig welding Aluminum fillet

Well to melt or blow apart a cup, it happens when the tungsten balls off to one side and over heats the cup. I'm using a wp20 torch. I've tried using different size cup to the bead smaller. I had a big torch, but I wasn't getting full amps out of it. I've been wanting to try a gas lens, are they bett...

I'm using a miller square wave 250 at 200amp with blueshield 2 gas. And I've going between a 3/32 and a 1/8 tungsten. I tried upping the amp...

Need help

Hey there. I'm welding some parts that need a 1/2 weld. I'm using 1/16 wire, on a fillet of 7/8 and 3/8 steel. I haven't done this in a long time,(I've been mainly tig welding ). I'm tring to do in one pass or one on top of the other, but the weld keeps sagging. I have the machine set at 32-350 and g...
