I recently purchased an old Airco 300 amp heliwelder and the literature I found says it uses an RFC-23a amp/contact pedal. If anyone has one in working order I might be interested.

Not familiar with that model but sounds like bridge links were set for a different input voltage maybe ? couple of guys here have that or similar model should be able to advise. Thanks for the info. Turned out that the welder itself was fan, but the bearings in the fan motor were completely seized....

My welding experience is limited to what was taught by my father who was a Pipefitter. I now use what limited skills I have stick welding and oxyacetylene welding to make repairs on my farm, as well as hobby use. I look forward to learning more from everyone on the forum.
