We call it Bluetooth ground but it never seems to work no matter how many times we try.

Re: This Didn't Work
Extend your tungsten stick out and add gas. Maybe 25 or 30 cfh. You should have no problem then.

Re: After Market Torch with switch for Lincoln SW Tig 200
I own the sq 200. I have the 26 torch and an arczone rotary control on top and a push button on bottom. It doesn't get hot like the original. I use it for aluminum and it takes all 200 amps. I would recommend the size 26 torch. You will have to buy an adapter for the dinse. It's from profax. I will ...

Re: Lincoln Square Wave tig 200 Scratch Start??
Mine came from arc zone. It's their brand. Simple thumb control. Rotates side to side. I use it on top and a momentary on off on bottom. You just have to switch the cables at the machine. 7 pin Lincoln connector. I use the momentary for anodized and the east/west for everything else. Sent from my mo...

I'm going to add that I have the squarwave and love it. I think you would not be disappointed with a east west thumb control. I use it for everything but anodized aluminum and once you get your heat where you want it you can take your thumb off and it will stay there until you change it unlike the f...

Re: Stack of dimes... almost...
There are some guys in my shop that do that but it's not good technique and it's not necessary. Their welds never look as good as mine and I'm not convinced they are as strong. You need to see the pieces melt together in most joints and pumping the peddle doesn't make that happen consistently. It's ...

Re: Help debug first TIG attempt
Try a slight pause after you add your filler. You will see the puddle even out and match the width you are trying to get. Your beads will start looking more consistent when you do this.

My favorite right now is the steiner mega tig glove. They have a thin palm and a foam back to keep the heat off the back of your hand. They also have a seamless thumb.

Re: Torch Switch for a Lincoln Square wave 200
I have the squarewave 200 with the ck rotary switch and love it. I also have a push button on/off switch on the bottom side for anodized work. I switched the torch to a 200 amp size 26 because the size 17 got really hot. I found the torch, power cable and cable cover with the back caps and collets/b...

Re: Aluminum Plug Welds
I assume you are bending a 90 degree leg on the top of your baffle and you are not trying to weld to a cut end. If this is correct then you can stick your tungsten in a larger hole and melt into the flat on top of your baffle. Once you get filler to melt into that, the edges of the hole will be no p...

Try 3/8 holes and sharpen your tungsten to a point so you can focus the heat better.

A little closer today. Got the sand blasting done on the stainless and the chemicals on the bronze for the patina. Still waiting for the concrete base that is provided by others. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180830/2492eb517c523e1eca9505bb5a4546f4.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180830/...

Re: Wicked thin AL welding
I would sharpen my tungsten to a point on something that thin and you might have to angle your torch forward some so all the heat isn't directed into the joint. Keep your stick out to about 3/16. I assume you have a pedal to control the heat.
