Re: Welding projects...

During election period in our place, flyers are the most widely recognized approach to pass on the stage and authority designs of a competitor. There are huge flags, canvases, stickers, and other limited time things to be given away. However, flyers are as yet the best pick. One reason why it is th...

Re: NEW To Aluminum Welding

Aluminum can be cut with plasma. Entry machines cuts are very course with a lot of slag. Newer machines can use inert air to make the cuts much smoother with less slag.

You even have a place(s) to clamp it down. Did you MIG weld it? How did you attach the screw to the jaw?

Strong Hand Tools WOW!

About 6 months ago I bought 4 MagTabs from Jody's store. When I received them I put them away to use in the future. Last week, I needed them and noticed one of them had 3 out of 6 magnets that weren't magnetized. Thinking of throwing it away, I thought, what the heck I'll get on Strong Hand's websit...

I think Jody's running out of stuff to show us and it's a LOT of work to make those videos. It's much easier to do podcasts.

Re: Everlast Tig Cooler

I bought mine on Amazon it came from International Welding Equipment, who imports Everlast's and HTP's coolers. Mine was 290 bucks and came with a 2 year warranty. I did have a quick connect to the cold water line that wouldn't close so International sent me one over-night. Mine is bright green to m...

Eastport, about as close to Canada as you can get on the coast. Is that in the county? Ever heard the folk group Schooner Fare? They have a song about "the county". Man unlock me some schooner fare. I can listen to them and Stan Rogers all day long We made a trip just to see Schooner Fair...

Nick, You will take good care of them, since you own them. I wouldn't worry about the lifetime warranty. Companies are pros of getting out of these warranties anyway. Your torches will NEVER look like the torches at your school!

New Vise Grips (thumbs down)

Got a 25 dollar Amazon gift certificate for X-mas, so I bought 2ea. 6" C clamp Vise Grips. These small ones come in handy as a pocket on a shirt. Received them and I was surprised at the sloppy construction. Apparently, Irvin had bought Vise Grip. All of my other Vise Grips are the originals an...

Re: Squarewave 200 PROBLEMS!??

I'm sorry you're having problems, but I disagree strongly with the explanations about inverter-based machines being cheap, economy market products. There are thousands, if not 10s of thousands of inverter TIG boxes in use every day in the world. You simply got 2 lemons. There's not a thing wrong wi...

Is a 3/32 Electrode the Holy Grail?

Being new to TIG welding, and almost through my second tank of argon, I have only used a 3/32 electrode. I've welded thin stainless, thin aluminum and steel; always using a 3/32 electrode. Using a 200 amp., inverter machine, and being able to sharpen a finer point on the electrode, it seems unnecess...
