Re: DIY and stuff like that...
At the present time, I get enough emails (which I signed up for) from various manufacturers and suppliers showing sales and to enter their promo contests to win products. ....looking for completed surveys ( I DON'T do surveys). Most of them are deleted after reading.

Re: Help with new Welding Machine Setting
I do from time to time use a tig button on my 256D when I feel that I'll be moving around a bit. I usually do all of my work right on my table and use the foot pedal - kick it here, kick it there. Without doubt, the button took a while to get accustomed to..and for the most part, find it hard to fig...

Re: 3M 1.5HP Air Grinder - The Rolls Royce of air grinders
One nice thing about the "air" operated tools....they will STOP when they get caught in something. An old friend of mine had an electric grinder that sounded like a Ford 427 at idle when he would just squeeze the trigger...couldnt stand the NOISE when he gave it full throttle. The electric...

Re: Fixture table vs the welding table, ie: holy vs the unho
I have a flat top that gets used a lot for other than welding. I have a smaller fixture table that sites on top of the flat top that gets used a LOT for welding and assembly of parts. The fixture table allows faster fit up and holds parts in position any where along the inner boundaries of the table...

Re: Argon gas issues driving me nuts
I also believe that you're right, Spartan. I took the old solenoid apart and found the piston and bore highly polished. I would also imagine that a small piece of dirt or some kind of contaminate would cause problems. OR IF the o ring should be lubricated to allow smoooooooth operation of the piston...

Re: Argon gas issues driving me nuts
I had a solenoid issue with one of my machines. It would always fully open but occasionally would not close following weld termination, even after post flow time. A little tap with anything and it would close and work properly for a while and then act up again until it got a little tap. Replaced the...

NICE, Tony. Not only are you going to be building modular dumpsters, but now designing modular jigs. Once someone sees those dump bodies, they are coming looking for YOU to make more.
