My current shop consists of about 10x20 total space, has a 4000 lb. lathe, 2 mills, 2 bandsaws, surface grinder and tool cabinet, I weld on a small 36"x30" table in front of my lathe.

My new shop will be 28'x32' and overlooks a lake.

With a stubby kit it's not that much bigger, but it is slightly bigger. I wouldn't say it's preventative, you'll get used to it. I used a 26 for about a year and a half before getting a CK 17 Flexhead.
