Re: Welding helmets with better vision

Dave folks, I'm there with the old eye problems. I've changed hoods and do find that the vision is better with a mo...

You can buy leather hoods and add auto darkening lens. I have leather I use but with gold lens works great. Dave PS everyone here proof reads for me. Ok, with the mask that makes more sense, I guess that would be helpful if trying to fit your head into a tight space. I've been seeing them as side ba...

Good news At least it was not brass. Dave Welp, had at least 2 hours invested into machining this ~4" bearing hub. Went to do the final parting and the tool snagged and ripped the part right out of the chuck. Broke the tool, and ruined the part in the process. Lessons learned: - Make sure the c...

About a year ago I had heard murmurings of a development helmet that used video and a display and probably quite expensive. I would think $1,000 bare minimum. It sounds about the starting. But that price will not last long. The electronic parts are very low cost from suppliers. We have give a littl...

My calculations come from NEC handbook.
Any time installing electric panel you follow local codes.
Where I at the bottom of meter ring is local code. Top of meter ring is PG &E (power company)

The 100 amp 240 volt will work for everything you every do. I like using #2 for 100 amps copper. If want to how power is three phase in kva it is a multiple of 1.72. Simply put it is 100 amp X 240 X 1.73 =KVA or 41.5kva or 41,000 . Dave FYI If look up the transformer in till the KVA. Most power comp...
