I have about a dozen original Petersen Vise Grip locking "C" clamps I bought over the years from Ebay and the Garage Journal's CLassified section. Some have swivel feet and some don't. That's about all I need plus a couple cheap Hobart angle clamps.

I've used both Forney and Hobart FC 0.30" wire with excellent results.

I use and love them. As others mentioned they work well on removing mill scale and lasts longer than other brands I've used.

I weld with a flux core mig machine and before anything else, I use a grinder with a flap disk to remove rust and mill scale then pour acetone into a wad of paper towels or a rag and wipe the oil off.

Nonetheless, that's some really good craftsmanship.

Thanks very much guys, I look into it. It appears that the portable band saw is more versatile for my needs and I can use it for woodworking and cutting PVC as well.

Thanks for the kind words and advice. Sorry to mislead you, the $498 price is on Amazon.com plus free delivery. There's only Airgas and Matheson here in Honolulu. Local Airgas wants $559 for it and Matheson said doesn't carry Hobart.
