Thanks for the replies, will need to sit down and read them good. I'm a new first time grandpa and haven't had much time the last couple of weeks.

Re: car gas tank
Go to a parts store and get some gas hose the size of the neck and a couple hose clamps and splice it back together.

Re: New Member from Lake Superior region
A warm welcome to you. My son, daughter in law and two week old grandson live in Superior so I get up there often and hopefully more often now that I am a first time grandpa. Beautiful country up there but winters last too long.

My bottles on my truck see mid west winters and sometimes I need to let them warm up for an hour or two before gas flow is consistent. The tank and welder were in the garage where it was a least 65 degree...

Flowmeter likes to freeze up
The temp hit 47 today and I wheeled my wire feed outside to do some welding and the flowmeter frosted up and then you can hear the gas hissing out. Anyway to remedy this or would a regulator be better?

Re: Welded Chain Floor Lamp
That looks great, I've done a couple different chain yard art pieces. Two snakes and a zombie remover axe, the snakes were done free hand but the axe handle was done using angle iron as you did. First I tried to stretch the chain tight between two posts using a cum a long but the chain had a twist t...

Mag lens
Does it matter what direction you put a mag lens in your helmet? One side is curved and the other side is flat. Nothing on the package so I just assumed it doesn't matter but we all know what assumed means.

Re: Best hole saw opinions
I have used Lennox hole saws but lately have switched to Blair hole cutters. These work nice. After the holes were cut I used a dimple die to bevel them. http://shop.blairequipment.com

Re: Hello
Thank you, hope to learn as well to help. Went to school in the 80s and learnt from a well seasoned older teacher. I have built many things for myself and now mostly enjoy building yard art from other objects.
