Tractor supply and Rural King both sell argon.... and yes you MUST have a shielding gas. Impossible to TIG weld without it.

first of all turn ur gas down... to around 18-20 cfh... my answer to this is your ground... put the ground ON the workpiece and see what happens... also turn everything off like pulse and up slope and down slope.... when troubleshooting you want to eliminate all variables possible. also white tungst...

Go with 2% lanthanated all day everyday for everything lol But CK worldwide, Weld porn pink tip and Arc zone "ArcTime sky blue" are all great ones to go with. If you buy CK though you should get it from weldmonger.com because i like to support Jody when possible.

Move faster and turn ur argon up to 20 cfh. Also i personally like using a #12 cup or bigger on ss.

Your SuperFlex Dinse is the wrong model. Simple as that. You can swap the unit from your left hand to the SuperFlex and be done with it. No it's not wrong..... as long as the connector under the dinse connector that connects to the cable is solid and not a flow through style it will be fine. I know...

I will take some pictures of my torch when i get home. its a ck 17 and the dinse connector has hole on the end as well. Its no big deal as long as the connector with the gas hose on it is solid. i will show you what mine looks like and you can compare.
