Re: Kemppi FastMig X37 in PulsedSpray TM - Big Disappointmen
Hi Mike I know, what you mean but the mix that is mentioned in the 1st post is de-facto the standard and most used mix for Pulsed MIG welding for the past decade? Today I was welding the same stuff and I switched off Pulsed mode on the machine because I have tried every possible setting, including u...

Re: 7018 Basic Weld Test Vertical Constant Failure Root Pass
You do NOT need to weave to make a proper open root pass for 3G using 7018 with proper penetration, It all depends on joint setup, rod diameter, machine you are using, arc you are keeping, VoltAmp curve of the machine and many many other factors. Can you please make a short video of you putting that...

Kemppi FastMig X37 in PulsedSpray TM - Big Disappointment.
Hi. I am welding metal parts and components using Kemppi FastMig power source and X37 Wire Feeder. The machine has the so called 'state of the art' WiseFusion and WisePenetration welding 'modes' in which the welding current and inductance values are modulated so that you get 'perfect penetration' an...

Re: How to fix a quick detach for a tractor's loader
If you can't reach with grinder or have no torch (plasma or oxy) or electrode holder for air arc gouging or other option: Plain old 6013 with high current will do the job for removing the old part. Just blow it away with the arc, hold the electrode so that the metal will be falling down. (or you can...

Re: PCB Repair or..?
Hi, we can't help you if you don't give us more info on the machine. Post pics from all angles, information on the machine, manufacturer, etc. etc. Look closely at the PCB, it may be multilayered one, but I doubt it. (multilayers are in between what you see, hard/impossible to repair. Get a multimet...

Re: Finally decided to go for 3G....
Ok, a follow-up: I have been weldin a lot, vertical and overhead too, once I got used to the machine everything started to work out. The instructor showed me very interesting techniques, I tried at least 10 and decided which ones worked best for myself. I chose a welding technique and electrode moti...

Finally decided to go for 3G....
Hi all, I finally decide to take the 3g Course for SMAW, since eventually I end up stick welding some serious stuff from time to time (I work mostly automated processes, SAW, GTAW, FCAW etc. etc., and less manual). My experience is almost 5 years. I have stick welded various stuff of various materia...

Re: Welding education&courses in the US, international stude
Thank you so much guys! I always though that the American welders and welding schools are one of the best because of the good and experienced teachers. But let me tell you more about myself: I have welded almost all processes (SMAW, GTAW(manual and auto), FCAW, SAW(automatic), oxy and propane). I ha...

Welding education&courses in the US, international student
Hello. I am based in Europe and I would like to improve my welding knowledge, and I think that right now the best options are available only in the US. I found out that there are 3 main welding schools in the US, and the one that provides courses for International students is Tulsa. Lets assume my E...
