If music is banned then don't listen to music. We had to do the same thing in a shop I worked at. Lots of overhead cranes and lots of young guys wandering around listening to music. Had a few close calls because they couldn't hear us yelling to get out of the way over their "tunes". Tried ...

Ya one final big dab and snap out QUICK. It can be done fast enough to maintain gas coverage. Industry standard for field welding AS pipe is still a scratch start rig on an engine drive welder. I do it all the time and manage to NOT oxidize the end of a weld. It takes a lot of practice tho...

Welders are like boats: if you buy the smaller one you'll end up wishing it was bigger. My recommend would be a Ranger 305g. Plenty of jam for 99% of anything you'll ever do and they won't break the bank. Lincoln all the way for me. The 305g on my truck was purchased new in 2011 and still runs like ...
