I bought a cheap, small bench grinder and made a tungsten grinder guide as per photo. Works a treat.

My Parweld has a purge function which puts gas on to the torch for 15 seconds unless you tap the button again and it stops. I use it when I haven't welded for a day or so for a couple of seconds or when changing hoses perhaps for 5 seconds. Never had any tungsten burn issues so the timing must be ab...

Soldering is the answer. It's been done for donkeys years that way. A large electrically or flame heated soldering iron with a large copper head. Clean the head, flux the joint, heat the soldering iron and away you go. The lead will puddle at its melting point and you can add filler material to form...

I cut 2 rectangles about 5” x 11” from a soft leather off cut and stuck them on the rim of both my helmets with carpet adhesive. Makes me look like TXSVIKING or Kevin Carron - I’m waiting to see if it will help me to weld like them!

I’ve been watching Jodie’s excellent instructional videos for a while so thought I would join the forum.
I’m dead keen to become reasonably proficient in TIG and aspire to weld copper for some DIY projects.
