Did you ever figure out what the problem was?

Re: It's a Miracle...I can see again!

I just changed my outside lens after who knows how long. It felt like a new hood. Shade 10 is usually pretty comfortable, but I was seeing white spots after. Had to bump it up to 11.

Re: Oxy Propane Residential

I rarely use my torch for cutting. It's more for heating purposes. Whenever I am using it to cut something, I take it outside. That torch doesn't throw sparks, they're fiery raindrops.

Too good to be true. The first time I saw that ad, I just about tore up everything trying to respond.

Re: Which process is ok to use?

Turns out I'm in love with stick. Not as much smoke and a lot more fire. Now I need to get halfway decent with it.

Re: Which process is ok to use?

Ironically, I ran across one on Mercari a couple of days ago for $90. I'm going to give it a try. Hopefully it will make it through a couple of these mobile bbq pits. If I like stick enough, I'll sell it and maybe invest in a Thunderbolt or something. If it turns out I'm not all that into it, I'll r...

I'll have to pass on your offer. Nothing wrong with asking though.

Lincoln NR 212 .045

I'm wanting to get rid of a spool of NR 212 in .045 diameter. The box is unopened. Being new to the hobby, I thought a bigger wire was something that I needed. Turns out I would only need it if I was going to be welding maybe 3/8" or more. It's not any hotter, it just fills in faster. I just bo...

Re: Which process is ok to use?

I was thinking that would be the answer. I was hoping for more insight from a few people. I have been looking around for a little while. I ran across this one a few days ago. https://www.homedepot.com/p/AMICO-POWER-Amico-160-Amp-Stick-arc-MMA-Inverter-DC-Welder-110-Volt-and-230-Volt-Dual-Voltage-Wel...

Which process is ok to use?

20201124_151142.jpg Being relatively new to welding, I do a lot of reading. So I understand the dangers of taking on projects that might be a little dangerous. My latest project is a trailer mounted bbq pit. Here in the south (Arkansas), they're all over the place. I found a little rig that was pro...

New rookie ready to work your nerves with dumb questions

What's going on everybody. New guy to the forum, although a lot of questions that turned to Google searches led me here a lot of the time. So I guess in a nutshell you all have already been teaching me. I watch a lot of Jody's videos, and learn some pretty interesting lessons. This is just a hobby f...
