Re: Bending 6061 ?
Thanks. My search for bending 6061 didn't get any hits, hence this post.
Now, I could get the 24" pieces in the oven, provided my wife isn't home , and make up some kind of home bender, but the 48" piece is gonna be a problem.
Any suggestions?

Re: Dimensions for Welding Table
I've only had it about a month now. Height seems ok for me. I guess it really depends on what stool you are using and if it's adjustable. Mine is. Jody has a video on making an adjustable stool for this very reason. I'll see if I can find it. I'll measure the floor to top height next time I'm down a...

Re: Dimensions for Welding Table
https://texasmetalworks.com/product/weld-table-diy-kit-30-x-48/ I bought this one. Their leg kit can be customized for whatever height you want. Standard is 38". Leg brace allows for sitting and pedal access. Not a top of the line table, but certainly works for what I do. They are great people ...

Re: Welding 1/2" to 1/16" Alum
I'm thinking threading will be a no go. Between the thin tubing and the bevel / chamfer.....a strong breeze would knock that out. IMHO
That said, welding 1/16 to 1/8 sounds reasonable to me.

Re: Pipe Practice Tips
Ha, I just finished watching one of Jody's DVDs on welding 2" pipe for a 6g test. I think it's a 3-4 part video. Good stuff.
Not sure if it's still up on YT. This is on his 2012 collection. If you can find it....Great viewing.
If not, is there a way I can upload it for you?

Re: What to charge??
As for fabricating, a friend of mine says he just takes his cost of material and times it by 3. Very simple and seems to work for him. Sent from my SM-G970W using Tapatalk So would that be just for labor, then plus the material (basically 4x material cost is total) or would that be a total for the ...
