Re: Cup melted - TIG
Well, the electrode-negative and the larger cup - #6 - worked.
Wouldn't call it a weld but the two pieces are not falling apart - it's a start.
Many thanks for all of you!

Changing thread title
Dear support, I didn't quite knew the correct terminology so I created a thread with a wrong title. If someone correctly searches for this issue it won't be returned or it will be incorrectly returned for a search. The strength of the forums is that subjects discussed could/would help others - if it...

However post some pics I’d love to see this. As you asked for it ... my latest art work. melted_gas-lens.png For those who didn't know, this is how to TIG weld gas-lenses. I'm taking orders. Send me your perfect lens and receive something like this. :) Haven't tried the reverse polarity yet. I'm su...

Hello from Ozland
Just saying hi.
Did some hobby welding with stick and mig. Surprisingly, the patio roof is still holding after a couple of winters with some 100 k/h wind.
Now trying to learn tig.
Children flew out of the nest, we are thinking to retire to a rural area. Welding is a sort of necessity there.
