i dont see why some welding helmet companies try and reinvent the wheel. button batteries last a couple years and cost only $10 to replace. hard to reach little adjustment knobs is also a terrible idea.

if you dont know what size wire fits in your machine maybe its best just pay a real welder to do the job. if by chance you figure it out then any local store has lincoln inner shield

i found some rule of thumb info per the fronius site. 10liters/min for every mm of wire diam. converted thats 19cfh with .035. this is assuming the wire manufacturer doesnt have a specific gas flow rate for the wire. some might ,some probly dont. so rule of thumb should be fine. guess ill bump mine ...

i understand its a active gas. what we commonly refer to as mig , is actually mag. but still im not sure ive seen any benefit to a overload of gas. maybe im missing something however

why is 15cfh to low ? thats about all i ever use and seems to work fine. if its enough gas to cover the weld then whats the point of going higher

should be all the codes in the service manual. thats just common sense stuff. also theres afjustable burn back and maybe its set wrong

millers website has a calculator thing . tells you the ipm, volts and amps for a given material thickness and wire diam. i use it and it works well

The 5356 alloy doesn't do well at elevated temps. ( Above 200F) You can research it online. The 4943 alloy is stronger than the 4043, and I find that it wets in better when welding castings.
