Re: Optrel Panoramaxx CLT welding helmet, with Isofit headgear
i dont see why some welding helmet companies try and reinvent the wheel. button batteries last a couple years and cost only $10 to replace. hard to reach little adjustment knobs is also a terrible idea.

Re: HOBART BETAMIG 200 WIRE STICKING
i found some rule of thumb info per the fronius site. 10liters/min for every mm of wire diam. converted thats 19cfh with .035. this is assuming the wire manufacturer doesnt have a specific gas flow rate for the wire. some might ,some probly dont. so rule of thumb should be fine. guess ill bump mine ...

why is 15cfh to low ? thats about all i ever use and seems to work fine. if its enough gas to cover the weld then whats the point of going higher

Re: cylinder head ports
The 5356 alloy doesn't do well at elevated temps. ( Above 200F) You can research it online. The 4943 alloy is stronger than the 4043, and I find that it wets in better when welding castings. What was your experience welding those heads? Did the puddle flow well, or did it act like it was full of di...
