Haha....I never really did ask that, did I ? I was looking for any tips i could use to practice for this test. Got the welder and all the scrap pipe I could want, now just need to figure out what I'm suppose to be doing !!!! :lol:

6g test tips

Another post I should know the answer to, but I don't and I need all the help i can get. Gotta take a test whenever I feel comfotable enough to do it. It's 6G SST and carbon, TIG and stick. In 2005, i was 2G and 5G certified stick and MIG, but never TIG. I know it's a question that will probably har...

From the people I've spoke with, and the net, they sound like a very solid company. But, after a week of welding mezzanines at work, I just can't seem to kick my Miller love !!!! :lol:

Anybody have any experience with Thermal Arc welders ? Searched it, but didn't find any info. Been eyeballin the 201TS package, and the 181i Fabricator. Appreciate any help....

My idea for now is to take it slow, hopefully get a handful of jobs, and let word of mouth take over. My biggest concern is my location. I live in a town of 400. Obviously a rural town, which got me thinking in another direction....Being surrounded by farmers, elevators, ag storage, etc., mobile mig...

Not sure what model it is, but it runs a gas powered Kohler. It's been a good machine so far, but all welding has been indoors. Didn't know how it would handle the elements.....
