Still not getting why arc goes out. I know its not any slope or t settings because the same thing happens with a foot or on/off trigger.

I know of one little trick someone showed me where they would drill a hole behind the piece to be welded and the fill it up with a mig gun or whatever welding tool on hand. The two metals are welded together and no welds are visible which is a great lil technique for art...
