Re: dynasty 350

thanks for the response. Well I have been playing around with the wave shapes and I have kinda settled on the triangle wave shape. I did some cutting and polishing and I got the best penetration with that wave shape, so thats what I have been using on our thicker and more critical parts and for the ...

Re: dynstay 350 not striking a arc

thanks well I will check that stuff out. But now I am leaning more towards a ground issue. I got the machine to arc by striking it on the ground clamp itself and then it would weld fine until you let the post flow end, then you would have to strike a arc on the ground clamp again. This thing has got...

dynstay 350 not striking a arc

So one of the welders at my work will not strike a arc anymore. Its a miller dynasty 350. If you hit the foot pedal the preflow willstart but you get no arc. The only way I can get the thing to arc is by sticking the tungsten to the table, hitting the foot pedal like 10 times then it will arc, but o...

Re: Tig Welding Stainless Steel

Using the pulse option or manual pulsing with the foot pedal is a good way to accomlish that. Also if the tubing is consistently warping the same way, you pre warp the tubing so that when the weld is done the tubing comes out straight. The old timer at my work taught me that. Just do some fusion wel...

Re: Aluminum Filler Rod Uses???

Just wondering what is the best filler for 5052 is? At our shop we normally run 4043. Just thinking about trying something else. Not to concerned if it turns black after anadizing as the 4043 we use already does and the customers don't care. Anything better as far as strenght and apperance?

Re: Mig Machine Set Up ???

As long as you are set up for dcep for bare wire short circuit mig you are good to go, most flux wires are made to run on dcen. So check you machine and make sure you are set on up on dcep, you should be able to tell because bare wire mig will weld like crap on dcen. http://www.weldingtipsandtricks....

Re: [SS] Beginner here, need help/tips (PICS inside)

Looks like you are welding hot. Your cup size looks correct and as far as a tungsten goes 3/32 tungsten should work fine but you could drop down to a 1/16. I noticed the machine you are welding with has a pulser feature, that is a really nice feature for welding ss and keeping the heat down. An 1/8 ...

silcon bronze mig

Has anyone ever done any silcon bronze mig welding? The shop I work at just got a new job welding some big tables. On the first run of the we just ran good old short circuit mig on the whole thing, but there is a couple outside butt welds that need to be ground off and the grinders at our shop hate ...

dynasty 350

My work just recently got 4 new dynasty 350 machines. Just wondering if anyone has ever used any of the different wave shapes for ac and if so what are the advantages and disadvantages of each. And if you have you used one I have noticed that when welding t joints the tungsten tends to get a really ...
