Len,
Good to hear your son is doing well. I had to get glasses to keep myself out of the puddle.

Need help with WP-20 Torch
I have a wp-20 on the machine when I bought it, I don't know how much it was used but may have been a lot. The long black cap that tightens the tungsten will not tighten, the cap seems ok so it must be the torch body. If I loosen the collet body a turn or two it will thread in further and seems to t...

Re: Aluminum dock
Yeap, Steve S. is right, anything long term in water will cause problems. By long term I mean months not years. You leave the pipes out there year around, S/S would be best. Sorry I did not tell you that part. I would suggest attaching your hoops ( very nice by the way ) with S/S self-locking (nylon...

Re: Aluminum dock
around here the way most secure a dock is to drive 2'' - 3" pipe into the ground several feet ( until very solid ) at the end of the dock that is in the water. then put a larger loop of some type around the pipe attached to the dock. this allows the dock to be anchored and be free to rise and f...

Re: Car Trailer ramps build info. needed
that is a good idea werkspace but the car hangs over the rear of the trailer , Steve that is a good idea too, i kinda thought the 1/4" angle with a little help would be enough to handle the weight, just not sure and i needed a little more help from people that understand what will work. thanks ...

very cool steve, and very cheap fix. i did not have the another flowmeter or that is what i would have done. i have only one right now and it is a regulator type. i think i would rather have the flowmeter type. what do you think ? is the flowmeter better or the regulator type, i know they both prett...

this is getting good here,im with steve, i wish i was there as well. i would like to see for myself too, the doors are very nice so i understand the need for being careful. i like the removing the hinge pins idea, but if there are three bolts and most likely there are, that idea will not work. i hav...

I dont mean to get my nose in this, but; there is a man here that built a system for his boat. He must have worked for the rail road, he used a boat trailer, mounted 4 rail car wheels (small about 8"-10" ) on it and used rails into the water. He has a wench mounted to concrete anchor to bri...

Car Trailer ramps build info. needed
I need to build some ramps for my Bobcat trailer to load a '79 Camaro with. They will need to be about 10' long and about 16" wide. I would like to use Alum. but steel will be cheaper. I understand building them and have some here for the Bobcat that will not work for the car, too steep. Car wi...

Re: Any tips for welding very thin Alum. and S/S
Hello again Steve S, you are right about the coating inside the can and i can tell you that it stinks and is most likely toxic when burned, i also think there is a coating on the outside to prevent oxidiation. i cut a can open and measured it but i can not remember now.. very thin .. if you blow a h...
