Re: Lincoln powermig 210mp first hand user review.

John, Thanks for the review! My LWS will FINALLY be getting one in soon. I have asked and asked about getting one in for demo but they were late to the party. If one of the jobs I'm bidding on comes together I would like to add one of these to my collection. It looks like the machine works well in t...

Re: Mixing in a Bit of Helium

Because of this video, and a few of his others, I am finally getting a bottle of He to play around with on GTAW. I have always wanted to see the difference in using He but my only experience with it is mixes for GMAW. Should be rather fun I think. I am workin on setting up the corner of my garage wi...

Re: the best gloves?

AKweldshop,
You also have to keep in mind you are in the middle of nowhere and the freight costs to get anything to your LWS is very high.

Weldstudent15,
Where are you from?

Re: the best gloves?

I use and highly recommend Tillman gloves. They make a lot of different models but I use their 50L and 1414L. The 50L offers good protection for GMAW and SMAW while we use the 1414 series for general use. I would also recommend a backing pad shield to keep the radiant heat off your gloves. The drawb...

Honestly, this is a question best left for Miller. I would think there would be no problems but they would be the best help, in my opinion.

Re: switching from 10' to 15' mig gun?

I agree that the 15' gun will be fine. I run a 25' gun on my Millermatic 252 and it only has one drive roll set. As long as I keep the lead straight it works just fine. I do want to show the other side of those wire cleaners. This is more for others reading this and not necessarily apply to you. The...

Re: A few tips for Overhead 7018

Jody, Once again a great video. I believe we all can relate to stepping on our lead and especially getting burned. I even step on my MIG gun lead on occasion. This really stresses how important it is to take those dry runs. When we took our 4G tests in SMAW and GMAW-P I think I pulled toward me and ...

......and other days you get the horn.... :D Great repair Steve. Cast can be fun if it all is going right and you have the correct equipment/fillers but as you have proven sometimes we can get around it. I did a cast repair a few weeks ago that went very badly. It was a huge chunck aso pre het was f...

John, I FINALLY got around to checking your graph. I found a few interesting results along the way. First the settings. Lincoln 350MP, Lincoln L-59 .045 ER70S-6 wire 90% argon/ 10% CO2 @35-40cfh I ran these voltage and wire speed settings and took the average of 4 passes. 27V, 350ipm- 286 amps 27.5V...

Rick, I agree. We bought my son a bike for him B-day a few weeks ago and while I was following him riding my bike in noticed serious LOF on the bike. So much so I was going to take a few pics and post them but didn't. I said something to my wife about them like "Those are not from Zank" to...

Great repair! Did they blow it apart from competition? Have you guys seen what those bass competition vehicles can do so far as damage? It's crazy!! I few friends did it for a while and I couldn't even sit in the one car for very long at all.

Re: change out lenses

So we are on the same page, we are talking about the clear lens in front and behind the auto dark filter aren't we? If so, the main UV filter is in the auto lens itself and if you are truely getting flash burn in your eyes from a faulty helmet it is time to replace your helmet. Before you throw it a...

Re: Everlast MTS200 short circuit setup help

What size wire are you running? Assuming you are using .035 your wire speed of 400 is way to high for the voltage shown. Try the wire speed in the 220-250 range and adjust from there.
