Has anybody out there tried to use EZWELD flux core rod to weld heavy cast iron.
Was wondering if it would be as good as aluminum bronze rod
On their video it looks pretty good,says preheat not necessary??
Any input would be appreciated.

Does anyone have experience with E3 tig rod on aluninum is it better than 2% thoriated for aluminum welding

Wkydd1, Don't know if I will catch you in time. I think you will get various opinions on this and they all could be right. You want to pre-heat to 400 degrees with the alum bronze. My question is if it is a large repair why wouldn't you use 99% nickel rod? I do not have much experience with the alu...
