YEAP bucket would be fine and yeas so that the sand is surrounding the part and more you but sand over it slower it cools (installation to heat) put it some where middle of that bucket (i dont know how much 5 gallon is but 10L bucket i would use. One tip that try to do your welding at "first&qu...

There is bottom vessel and some other parts (vessel doesent show in pic.. We do fit-tack weld thees parts under the truck so the fit up is up to me what kind a gap i can Tig, and a time when it needs to be done.. But welds are pressure tested about 6-8bar (way more then needs) I like this kind jobs ...

Here is couple pictures at my works. This one is 10m long and 2.20m high. inside there is same kind looking round plates (like that end) I weld whit Pulsed Fronius Mig gas is Argon/Co2 mixture material is 304L

Unless Esab markets using different number systems around the world if it were 6013 the number would be 46.00 - rods starting 63.XX are in the austenitic stainless range & under the generic term " Almat " - maybe the numbers are different in the UK ? YEAP My mistake it was 43.32 :D Wh...

Whatcing that Jody welding different type rods. I became curious what kind of bead i could lay down. And this was ESAB rods it was 63.?? but anyway 3,2 mm 125Amps makes nice looking weld.

Pulsed Downhill welding SS or carbon steel
So i woul like to hear your thoots about welding downhill whit pulse. Im thinking that it is lots of better to penetrate then welding whit out pulse. At quik try focus your arc eavenly on both sides, and maybe adjust HZ Frequence if you can? bigger the HZ like 150-200 the narrow the arc is.

YEAP At the moment everything is going fine in work 8-) Like you can imagine that probaly 90-95% that container/tank welds are made By me.. Older guyes makes parts ready for me and i just but them Place and BZZZZZ ZAP its there i weld whit Fronius machine 300A Pulsed, specialy made for excotic metal...

HI STEVE :) Hoping that you would answer.. Works are going fine 8-) Im the man who now welds all the tanks/containers at that stage (photo) Then it goes pressure test and and then others start to make that casing and rear kabinets,pumps ect you know.. Xrays have been fine last ones wore 8 shots by 2...

Just a litle freshing my Tig skills on pipe.. That base metal contamination im mainly worry about,because lack of fusion what showed on Xray doesen make sence to me whit that much root opening and welding both sides.. Thanks.. :D Today was pressure test one tank that i welded, and darrm i was nervouse of that :shock: Here comes allways outside inspectore to chek that test... But it hold, no leaks ... Here Finland the new law lets trucks load more weight on their axels. So that reason old tanks are now extendet.. ...
