Thank you very much for your help and information with this question. We just haven't seen any bicycle frames with an exposed TIG BRAZED weld and were wondering if it could be "safely" done. It just looks really cool but don't think we will go there if it will just fail.

A friend of mine and I are considering fabricating a mountain bike frame out of.035 wall, 1" to 2" diameter 4130 or 4140 chromoly tubing. We noticed the frames that are not TIG welded are brazed, probably with an oxy-acetylene set up, and we were wondering if Tig brazing would be effective...
