I have a problem with my argon hose getting hot and melting inside my tig handle. the tig gun is a ck 17 air cooled. im was only using about 120 amps. then all of a sudden it started welding dirty and found the hose melted off the nipple inside the handle. its an easy fix but its happened several ti...

I just picked up a roll of weld cote 0.35 mig wire. I immediately noticed poor feed of the wire and it ran with a lot of popping and stuttering no matter how I adjusted wire speed. not worth the money even though its half the cost of Lincoln wire. just an observation and was wondering if anyone else...

when you press the yellow button it moves a light until its lit up under what symbol you want to adjust. the +and- is the ac balance mode. then you turn a knob to either the left (numbers flashing)for more pos. or turn it to he right (numbers not flashing)for more neg.. each side of 0 (50% balanced)...

here is the ac balance Icon on my snap-on 150 t welder. am I wrong in thinking that the symbols are backwards. I thought that electrode negative was more penetration and less cleaning. the symbol seems to indicate that - gives a wider cleaning zone and positive gives more penetration. http://mail.ao...

I know ,I know they are over priced but I didn't pay full pop for it ,I paid 2200. still I think thats top of the mark for that size welder. now that we all agree that its over priced, is it any good? and has anyone used one?

thanks for the info noddybrian,i guess on the older machines I am adjusting voltage but just didn't know what the number was.as far as my tig welder goes it wasn't my first choice but my friend has a in with a snap-on dealer .I would have rather got a lincoln precision 225. I know the snap-on welder...

It also seems when he's mig welding the setting are in volts on a digital read out. maybe that's just the way they read on a digital machine? my machine only has numbers on a dial.i was just wondering about it and never really thought about it until I saw his videos

welder settings
I noticed on jodys videos somtimes he set the welder in volts instead of amps.is this a different ty of e if setting , my welder has only amp settings.
