i would advise you to not use brake cleaner....and if you do, be sure to clean it a bunch afterwards with acetone and denatured alcohol

they arent meant to be perfect i weld fast very fast those aluminum pipes take about 3 min start to finish to weld...quality is perfect for the application and when you have to weld 100 of them..let me know how pulse works out for you

lol i dont weld as a hobby folks... pulse really does take away from the needed heat and slows you down...i do some mass production work and pulse..would reallllly slow things down!! pulse on aluminum is for hobby use haha a novelty....man up, set your amps for the material and full pedal it...perfe...

pulse on aluminum is a waste of time imo...learn to move fast and get that feet hand up to feeding an entire rod super fast, or like i do and hold 2 rods in 1 hand

i use 250pps on .065 stainless tubing for exhaust and i use 400pps on turbo manifolds, sch 40 pipe all stainless steel work....aluminum..leave the pulse at home

find a used miller dynasty 200dx...you will be most happy with how awesome the welder is...and if tig doesnt work out for you, generally you can sell it for exactly what you paid

i know in the automotive industry, welds with that color would create cracks later on a turbo manifold out of sch40 308 SS pipe, entire wastegate runners would break off etc... i havent had the chance to xray any of my welds but ive yet to have a manifold come back :) i would think that 1600-1800 de...

the dynasty works on 110, 220, single phase and works on all 3 phase voltages also...just wire it up :) black/red to both hot's green/white are ground/neutral i have quick turn style plugs for my welder..a male on the welder itself with a very very short amount of wire to make it easier to move the ...

weld looks straight, looks a little hot to me... how thick is that material?
when i weld stainless i will literally do 5 beads and stop postflow and start again after a 30 seconds for cooling. and you have seen my stainless welds

i use pulse for almost everything... super high pulse on stainless sch40 pipe for manifolds, 300-400pps aluminum .7 pps sch40 to 1/2" thick mild steel flange, 30pps on aluminum i use it to maintain a consistent bead size but still use the food pedal to maintain heat and control the puddle size ...

building bikes are fun eh? not sure what rear i would do. i personally like shitloads of torque and only ride around town, i hardly hop on the highway with the bike anymore...seems like 80% of my friends that have died have all been on the highway... but im sure thats just their dumb luck... me..id ...
