Locking a chuck without a lock,, open headstock , insert rag between chuck gear and main drive gear ,,, locked :)

I have the drawings for them and a lathe with enough swing to get the job done but I need to build a radius tool to do it ,,, sigh another reject lol

I brought the jd2 die ( expensive lol)
ATM I'm bending 1 1/8 x .120 wall dom steel tube
The reason I built the bender and stand is so doing that I saved the amount of money I needed to buy a die set
And I built it wide enough to take up to the 2.5 inch die

There is flux cored wire made to do this
I'll check the numbers of the lincon one I sell the coke mill
They use it on the coke crushing rollers to build them up for re machining
They just plié it on top of its self

Over the past 18 months I have been building tools to make life easier in the workshop. I was lucky enough to pick up a macc cold saw cheap at a auction a few years back I love it , but the cost is big , for it to be efficient at cutting you need quite a few blades because you need to match your teeth count to the metal your cutting For solid bar like 1 inch bright bar you need a 120 1...

BOC is a gas manufacture mostly , Out the back of my office is 2 massive air separation units that pump oxy direct to the port kembla steel mills.
