Is there any negatives to welding 304 to 316?

It is not beveled but it can be if I need to. Full penetration. Yes it will be welded on all sides.

It is plate, fillet welds flat on a table.

Hello to all, I have a job welding 1/2” stainless and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on weld settings and tungsten and cup size? Will I need tungsten bigger than 3/32?

I'm using a dynasty 350

The reason I'm using helium is bc I was told
If I was using argon I would be fighting a battle I couldn't win

The puddle looks like crap and it is spitting! I'm welding copper sheet that is new
I'm using helium and 1/8 tungsten dc and a flow of about 40cfh
