Re: Welding tables how thick of a top

Thanks guys. The previous owner of my house, her grandson left his welding table but the legs are 1/8 angle not sure on the top surface so I was gonna modify it

Welding tables how thick of a top

Was thinking if building a welding table soon.. So what is the thickness of material y'all are using. This will be a compact table just to build maybe a couple off road bumpers and prefab exhaust on. Small light duty stuff around the house

Re: What I welded today....

Welcome to the boards. That is a very unique concept. I've never seen them done like that. Very cool. And first time mig that came out really well

Chop saws what do y'all recommend for a hobbiest

Just looking for a chop saw. Easier for me to make mitre cuts on tubing. Only be used as for a hobby. So the cheapest good quality is best. So what do y'all recommend

Re: Hello From Michigan

Thanks guys. I do have a question though. What would be a great 220 mig welder that is a lower price for a hobbyist. I plan on nothing larger than 1/4 inch plate. I was looking at maybe a Lincoln 180hd. I really don't need all the bells and whistles. Just looking at maybe welding 1/4 inch plated of ...

Re: Fire Pits

Thanks everybody. I didn't sell any of these, they were all gifts. There are a couple more CAD designs, but the last one actually made was the Texas A&M pit. They were fun projects, a good diversion from the regular day to day repair work. Sorry for the low budget cell phone pictures, but I'm n...

Hello From Michigan

Hello All. New guy here, but not new to welding. My name is Eric and I am a robotics painter. Grew up mig welding at my grandfathers and picked up my first stinger at 13. Got out of the hobby for awhile now due to going to school and then not having the equipment of my own. Finally picked up a small...
