Just straight beads on 1/4" plate.. no joiningZach_T wrote:Not bad at all! What thickness metal were you welding on? The 95amps looks like it was way to hot but that could just be because your welding on thinner metal and not having to worry about penetrating into both pieces but that's jus my 2cents!

Re: 3/32 6011
thanks for the charts and the info guy. Ill give it ago again at 75 amps. Hey, If your 3/32 6011 is sticking at 75amps AC, i think your rods are old and dried out. Try soaking them in water for a couple minutes. that could be but they are fairly new to me but there was no seal on the pack. However ...

I haven't seen a chart. I was basing my thoughts on the 1 amp per every .001 of rod thickness general rule I've hear and read

3/32 6011
Ok I found a really cheap deal on some 3/32 6011 for my lincoln ac225 buzzbox. according to all I've read 3/32 should burn right about 93 amps. On my lincoln 90 seemed like it was trying to burn a hole through the 1/4" thick steel where 75 would hardly strike and stuck like crazy. Any thoughts ...

Re: Success stories of Harbor Freight 91110 inverter?
What a refreshing seies of posts. Every other welding sight if been to rails on anyone who suggests harbor freight. Buy once cry once is what they say... but don't seem to realize not everyone who wants to build stuff has $1000-2000 budget for hobbies. Maybe its knowing the limitation is the key.

Many years ago I did some welding out of high school for a company making horse trailers and big rig trailers but don't remember enough to consider myself as anything but a hobbiest. I made...
