In school for the vertical t, we went straight up. No weave or anything. I forget what size 7018 we were running. Not the smallest and not the biggest. Was running about 118 amps. Get comfortable. Well the first machine just never seemed right to me. A lot of spatter, seemed like it wanted to stick a lot, and when striking it would either stick real quick or almost like the machine would go off. It's because he's using a big weave. In high school and almost all welding videos, everyone uses a weave. But at school now, they don't want to see any weave. I'm getting better on my overhead. Have to test out tonight. My normal machine was messing up, so I tried another, and it was messing up also...
