Re: BUYER BEWARE: Eastwood 60 Plasma cutter. Many problems.
Thanks for the reply. Hypertherm was consistently recommended by everyone I spoke to on many forums and personally to people in fab shops so my hopes are very high it will work flawlessly. My research on tables is just now beginning and what I've learned so far is that there is MUCHO more to buying ...

Re: BUYER BEWARE: Eastwood 60 Plasma cutter. Many problems.
Thanks for the comments. I actually never thought of selling it on ebay.com BUT I'd hate to sell something to anyone where I suspect (and know) from my own experience that's it's defective junk. The plasma they wanted to send to me was a refurb unit. Glad you have had a good experience with your mod...

Eastwood 60 Plasma Cutter: PURE JUNK!
Hello all: After reading a few reviews months back, I bought the Eastwood 60 Plasma Cutter. Don't waste your time or money on this JUNK! It's Chinese JUNK! After the first stopped working, they replaced it. After the second one stopped working after cutting a 6" x6" piece of steel, I asked...

Very nice HTP collection. I also have the HTP 221, air cooled. Still learning how to use it, and still struggling to do so.
Congrats on the collection.

Re: HyperTherm 65 Plasma Cutter, What CNC table RU using it
Howdy: 3/16" flat plate, sorry don't remember the steel flat plate # but it was whatever was the normal steel that most everyone uses when you call to order a 4' x 16' sheet of steel plate. I've worked mostly in Aluminum and know those #'s fairly well but just moving into steel as of late. BTW:...

Re: HyperTherm 65 Plasma Cutter, What CNC table RU using it
Thanks guys. I will contact Jim. I did place an order for the HyperTherm PowerMax 65 yesterday with the CNC built in and the CNC torch as well. Waiting for delivery tracking details. Now I have $700 (plus/minus) at Eastwood that I will need to determine how to use it. I considered the 3 in 1 press b...

Re: HyperTherm 65 Plasma Cutter, What CNC table RU using it
Will do. The CNC plasma table will likely come a little later.
As our new project comes online, I'll post pics here for everyone to see what we're doing.
Thanks again for your help.

Re: HyperTherm 65 Plasma Cutter, What CNC table RU using it
THANK YOU! I called George and spoke to him for almost an hour. He's a wealth of information. His info on CNC plasma tables was eye opening, to say the least. He no longer sells the CNC tables but still his knowledge of them was impressive.
Thank you again for giving me his contact info.

Re: HyperTherm 65 Plasma Cutter, What CNC table RU using it
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. Because of the nature of my business, I'm naturally cautious and verify by many methods/paths.
And yet, even after having said the above, I still get suckered every now and then, like when I bought the Eastwood JUNK!! ![Evil or Very Mad ](./images/smilies/icon_evil.gif)

Re: HyperTherm 65 Plasma Cutter, What CNC table RU using it
Howdy, I'm at the beginning stages of setting up a small fab shop for a device I've filed for a patent on. We are close to introducing it to the market and I'm setting the stage in case this project really takes off. I've found out (the hard way) that buying cheap doesn't pay, especially Chinese CHE...

HyperTherm 65 Plasma Cutter, What CNC table RU using it on?
Hello all: I'm starting a new post. A few of you recommended the HyperTherm PowerMax 65 plasma cutter. I'm considering buying on that will include the CNC unit built in along with the CNC torch. Are any of you using this currently on a CNC table? If so which one? I'd like to hear your reviews (pros/...

Re: Returning an Eastwood 60 Plasma, what do you recommend?
BUYER BEWARE!! FYI: If any of you are considering buying Eastwood's Plasma Cutter (20,40/60), RECONSIDER. I'm convinced the ratings they have on the Eastwood site MUST be posted by their own employees. This plasma cutter is JUNK! I bought the 60, had it replaced once, the new replacement is having i...

BUYER BEWARE: Eastwood 60 Plasma cutter. Many problems.
Hello ya'll. I bought an Eastwood Plasma 60 cutter. Returned it for a replacement because of issues, plugged in the new replacement, having more issues, so I'm about to approach Eastwood for a refund and go elsewhere. I like the 7/8" thick metal cutting capacity and would like to stay in that a...

Re: New Tig Hood questions
Yes, the helmet is the "Clearlight" lens. I actually like all aspects of this helmet except for one small glitch and it could be the config's that I have on it now: In the spring/summer when the sunlight is very bright, any kind of reflection will trigger the dark lens mode, which on one h...

Re: New Tig Hood questions
Hi ya'll. When I upgraded to a Miller 252 welder, I also bought the Miller Digital Infinity Series (Stars & Stripes). I negotiated a very good deal on both and love the helmet. Keeping in mind I don't use it full time, the times I do use it, I LIKE IT VERY MUCH! The head gear has an additional s...

Re: Adjustable or FIXED tungsten Grinder. What would U choos
Thanks very much for your response, I appreciate your thoughts. After reading your comments, I will go with the Adjustable. I was really leaning that way but I wanted to hear from an expert before pursuing it since I only do Tig on random occasions (ie: not an expert full time welder). ![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Adjustable or FIXED tungsten Grinder. What would U choose?
Hello everyone: Haven't been here in quite a while. I'm considering buying a tungsten grinder. USAWELD has them on sale now but I'm trying to decide between the fixed angle (22.5 degrees) versus the adjustable angle grinder (10 to 30 degrees). There's a $60 difference in price. I have always underst...

Further: to answer questions: The plate I was using was 1/8" thick. Why 30 cfh of PURE Argon? That was a general recommendation. I will attempt the suggestions posted in this thread and see how it works hopefully within the next 2 weeks (after Dr. releases me). The HPT settings I'm using were t...

Re: HTP 221-Tig Welding Aluminum-Rod won't melt into plate
Guys/Gals: I've read that the tungsten makes a HUGE difference when welding aluminum and most of the Chinese brands are less than desirable quality. What say you? Do you recommend any specific tungsten brands?
Thanks
Thanks
