Re: My First "At Home" Welding Project - Swing set

I think he means unfortunately for his personal life... 5 12's and 8 on Saturday doesn't leave much time for yourself. Very true...and that's what I meant. I totally love my job and wouldn't want to do anything else. Structural steel fabrication in a shop environment running .045 and 1/16 dual-shie...

Re: My First "At Home" Welding Project - Swing set

Haha...not really. They're pretty average for a 9, 7, 3 and 1yr old. I just had some C-channel that I hadn't used so bought matching to build the whole thing. Plus, this thing will last for many many years and through all the abuse they could throw at it.

My First "At Home" Welding Project - Swing set

Ok, so I have been looking at swing sets, with monkey bars, for my kids. Everywhere I went, it seemed that playsets were $500 on up for cheesy wooden ones that didn't seem like they would stand for very long. So, I thought to myself "Why not just build one out of steel?". So I called aroun...

Hello from Northern Idaho

Hi everyone. Just a little about me, I've been a hobby/garage welder for 15+ years now. Just this last spring though, I graduated from a 2 year college welding program. I'm currently working as a welder running .045 Dual-shield primarily. I finally broke down and bought my first welder for home....a...
