I have a Everlast 256 welder now for a few weeks, BUT it really has the smooth arc and control for doing aluminum , that is all I usually weld for marine parts. So far I have not tried the Plasma cutter or the stick weld part of the machine.But if they do as well as they do with aluminum then it wil...

Make sure you are not between your ground and workpiece. Or if you can ground right to the work . Also to narrow it down try wearing a pair of the latex gloves under your reg gloves.Sometimes you can get a jolt from just a hole around the stitching as well in the fingers of the gloves. My first TIG is a Miller Divesion 165. Great simple little machine and will do up to 3/16"- .185 without any problems and it will do the .125 all day long with no problems, But I am selling it to get a bigger TIG now,( not trying to sell it here up for sale locally in Florida), going for an Eve...
