I thought about the diversion 180 but it doesn't have balance or frequency adjustments. Im kinda looking out for a dynasty for a decent price but no one seems to se...

Re: 280 dx stick 6010
Hi corky ! I have a 200DX but on my machine i run it hotter closer to 85 amps and just move at a consistent speed. I've recently started using a small circle progressive pattern with 6010. Well atleast on 1/8. What problems r u having? Just blowing thru? Id just make sure u moving at a steady speed....

Re: Please help me improve my 7018 vertical welding
Practice makes perfect....First off i used to think I was never gonna be able to weld like jody! An i still probably can't!lol...but Im closer. The one thing I learned is that I like the Lincoln excalibur rods the most for 7018. The 6010/6011 i run at 95 amps for an 1/8" electrode. An u can run...

Re: SMAW Aluminum
I tried this crap shoot of stick welding aluminum about a year ago...an I've gotten better at it but Im no expert at it. I've found that it's very tough finding the right travel speed. Cuz it's way fast! What helped me was making short welds and letting thebase metal completely cool at least til it'...

Re: 6010 / 7018 question
Id just use the 6010 to tack or stitch it together and weld it with good ol 7018. 7018 does better over time in the elements. But for a rack to just hold firewood u could use just about anything a good weld is a good weld for something like that
