hi m8, i work in a welding shop in the uk. we mainly focus on stanless and aluminiumm we use a argon helium mix and we've had the same problem. we got two cylenders of BOC that the mixtures of helium were compleatly wrong. i had the same problem pulling my hair out for hours! after years of welding ...

my answer is TIG is right for everyone lol, its quiter, smoother and there's no sparks :lol: . if you start trying to TIG it can get relitivly expensive, aluminium isnt cheap! but i deffinatly suggest getting a tig machine. there MUCH more universal than your standerd MIG/MAG machine. if you get goo...

a pice of pipe that fits snugly inside maybe? put it under were you will be welding the joint and it should keep it str8, dont be silly and use plastic pipe tho

hi m8. if your struggling to keep metal square when your welding it make sure you put 2 good tacks on both sides of the metal your welding. if you start to weld one side and let it cool it will make the other side lift due to the metal shrinking, make sure all your cuts are square and your clamps ar...
