Re: The what I welded today (/whenever) thread (pics please)

Had to move a fitting on this fuel tank. Conditions weren't very good. Wind was blowing so I had a helper holding a piece of metal to block the breeze with me trying not to lose my balance and fall out of my chair. All things considered, I think it turned out ok. Another Critter From My Bench

My nephew is really into lions so I tried to make one for his birthday. I hope it's not too weird looking

Re: Hello

I don't have the tig option on mine so I can't comment on that. It's a nice mig unit though and the little stick welding I've done with it (7018) worked fine too.

Re: Hello

Welcome to the forum, Joe. I have the 210MP and love it. Of course it won't do AC tig, but is a very nice, easy to use machine.

Cheers.

I've usually got two or three projects going at any given time.
I get stuck sometimes and it's nice to have something else to do while I wait for good ideas

Awesome work. Well done. What cool projects do you have lined up now that your table is done?

Yes it's for a customer. He wants to chain it to a stake in his front yard :D
I've got a long ways to go but I think the body will be easier than the head.

Re: Best grade of stainless for coloring

Thanks Mr Moose. That is what I'm trying to do. I'll look for one of those charts and do some experimenting. I do have an IR thermometer so I will use that too. Fortunately I am happy with my welds, I just want to add some colors to some parts of the sculptures I make.
Cheers.
